Sorry for not being clearer. The #DEFINE is only needed if you will be using sample code from MSDN where the code might be.

myChart.ChartType = xlColumnClustered

Doing a copy and paste will not work with this, VFP has no idea of what xlColumnClustered is. You will need the #DEFINE to let VFP know what "xlColumnClustered" is. In this case you would want.

#DEFINE xlColumnClustered 51

This will create the constant of xlColumnClustered with the value of 51. So anywhere in the code that you put "xlColumnClustered" it will substitue the value of "51" for it, making the code easier to read and understand.
