Oops, don't know why my reply was forgotten...

Anyway, you might want to check your default protocol in the Client Network Utility of the SQL group in the Start Menu. Set it to TCP/IP. Also, if, in your application, you are using a connect string, add "network=MSDBSOCN" to force a TCP/IP connection.

Are you getting an error message? If so, what is it?
