Get the official HR job descriptions for your present job and the next job above. Use as many of the buzzwords from the job above you in your list. This will help you look promotable.

If you don't have "official" HR job descriptions, there are Duke ones at http://www.hr.duke.edu/jobs/ under job descriptions. Look at 1747, 1040, and 1464.
