No I did not use the debugger. I'm not sure I can in this situation. For instance, if one of my properties that I changed in the parent class was cmdButton.Caption = "New Caption", how am I going to watch for that??

Besides, these changes aren't showing up in Design time OR Run time.
For instance... I should see that the Button's Caption is "New Caption" at design time on all my old forms.

The thread I remember reading (but can't find) explained that it wasn't a user error, it's how Inheritance works. This OOP "guru" in that thread mentioned something about using subclassed button in the container, and then changing THOSE component at a parent level--- or something like that (if I knew, I wouldn't be asking :)
