CR will load the data when needed, when all data is loaded, the datasource is closed (you now can open the datasource exclusively). CR holds all data into memory. CR by itself does not refresh whenever something changes in the datasource. I've never needed the functionality to refresh my report programaticly, so i'm not sure how to solve your problem. Maybe reset the location of the tables would help: "oReport.Database.Tables.item[nI].location = cLocation"

But it still begs the question: why dou you want to re-read the tables ?
