I am not a lawyer but if the information Kevin post's is true and he can prove it in court, I think he has nothing to worry about. Your advice is good in that he should be sure what he says is true. If it is not he would definatly be liable for slander, but if it is, I think it is very appropriate for this forum seeing he made the contact here.
