What I have is a form with 3 grids open at once. From 3 different data sources. They are all positioned by chosing a NALC (Government Code). When the user chooses a NALC then all grids will synq up to show only data relating to the NALC chosen. The user will then position themselves on the master Grid chosing the record they wish to work with. They will then go to one of the other 2 malfunction grids and choose a record to apply to the master. What they have asked me to do now is to give them the ability to choose many masters and pick a malfunction to apply to the masters they have selected.

I have looked at the multselect grid in the download section and if I am not mistaken will work by setting a flag in the underlining table in the grid. Thus changing data in the grid. I cannot do that here in that just because the user selects a masters does not mean he/she wishes them to changed. This makes the master table dirty (or changed) just by choosing a record.

I hope this makes sense, but does anyone know a techniques that I might employ that will allow me to have the user select many records in a grid, but that does not affect any data in the underlining table.
