Hi Doug:

FWIW: I just had my first contact with Approach a couple of weeks ago & found to my delight that I can open the tables directly with VFP by treating them like dBase-IV tables. You could possibly use the dBase-IV ODBC drivers if you want it two-way, but that probably won't update the Approach index files correctly. If you really just want to get the data OUT, you can just use VFP & do the usual database stuff to the output. If you need to make it two-way, maybe Lotus has ODBC drivers for Approach. I didn't see any on the SmartSuite disks, but that doesn't mean their not available.

Forturnately for me, I only need one-way data extractions and just update my VFP tables from there...

HTH
