Your runs using FP2.6..
YES, No problems.
1) was it FPW or FPD?
- FPW
2) Was it on the SAME MACHINE as where you ran VFP?
YES
3) Can I assume that the TAG on DELETED() was in *both* the FP runs and the VFP runs? YES
4) Around what percentage of the records were actually DELETED() in the tables used for each run?
Table that had ~250K records had 500 deleted. (FPW table...) (Uowever this table resuses deleted records, when new ones are added.)
VFP table ~95K records has none...
So % is very small.
If I remove the deleted() tag from the VFP tables, they open instantly.
If I set deleted off, before I open the FPW table, it opens instantly.
(This opening in VFP only, In FPW no noticible difference.)
In summary:
The deleted() tag seems to slow things down accross the network.
hope this helps,
Mike
