Macer, Nigel, and all you lucky "Northern Guys":
I took a trip to London/Scotland some years ago at this time of year and absolutely loved the weather - cold, drizzly, etc! When the non-stop flight arrived here and I stepped out into the 100+ degree heat, I ran to the nearest trash can and puked!
When most people think of "hibernating", they think of bears, squirrels, etc, storing up nuts and things in the fall so they can "hole-up" during winter. Here, we get all our yard work and outdoor activities finished in the spring so we can "hole-up" during summer.
Maybe I should try Scotland in January....

>This is not the kind of thing I want to hear... I am jealous of the fact that you can see the sky let alone the sun. Its been overcast and raining in England for the last 10 days now, and this is supposed to be our summer!!!!
