VFP 6.0

I have a form with an edit box on it that I use to collect notes to a memo field. I disable all fields untill the user presses an "Add" or "Edit" button.

This makes my "Notes" edit box not have the up and down arrow buttons on it, and therefore the user is not able to read the notes that are past the visual part of the edit box. (the arrow is gone because the edit box is disabled)

How can I have the field disabled, but still able to let the user scroll through the notes?
