You responded to a problem I had with dead connections and you said:

Most servers [the network OS] are now smart enough to detect a dead connection and will clear such connections. There is no other option but to restart the workstation in that situation. You can usually get away with short disconnects [seconds] and be able to re-establish a connection, but not over about ½ minute. In such a case the module will store the data on the user’s computer and try to upload when the network connection is restored.

Can you point me to the source of this information so I can put it in my report.
