I just upgraded my workstation to Windows 2000 Professional. I am having a few problems.

1. When I go into the networking tab under the properties of my computer and try to set my computer name and domain it says "Domain is invalid or can't be found". I know that the domain name is valid since it is the ONLY domain on our server. Our server is NOT a WindowsNT server, it is SCO Openserver 5. It is running "SCO Advanced File and Printer Server" which emulates a Windows NT 3.51 Server. NONE of my other computers (all Win95/98/NT4.0) have any trouble connecting to the domain name.

2. Even though I cannot get #1 to work I can connect to shares on the domain by going to the command prompt and doing a "net use" command.

3. The network drives are REALLY slow! I can try to load something and it will wait 20-30 seconds before even trying to load and then the document or file will pop right up. Sounds to me this is a setting or something.

Thanks in advance,
Randy
