We recieve several (90 or so, the Telus phone bill) files each month in dbf format. When processing these files into our application(VFP6), some, not all, prompt for code page. We have no idea what these files are generated with, allthough it is very unlikely that it is VFP. At this step in processing, we do not want any user interaction. This is to avoid chair-keyboard interface errors.
How can we determine if the file needs to have a code page set, and then set it in code?
