>>Recovering from my trip to OpSail...beautiful event, but I was waiting for the shuttle bus longer to get from the parking to the event (about 3 1/2 hours in and out) than I actually spent at OpSail, and that didn't include the drive from West Haven to New London. I hope that Boston has better transport arranged than they had in CT (and what's supposed to be used for Providence, RI) or there are gonna be a lot of people with cranky kids!

>Glad to here your getting out and about. Now the big question! Did you take your computer or did you just watch the world go by as normal people do? Not say if you did that your abnormal. I mean, I know you ARE but not because you took your computer! :)

If it didn't cost $.10/minute, I've got a cell phone with me, and the laptop was with me, but I didn't even check my email more than two or three times...until I got home of course.

The shuttle bus situation for OpSal was horrendous this year - I spent 3 1/2 hours from parking in New London to get out to OpSail, and a similar amount of time waiting to get back to the parking lot. And that doesn't include the drive time for me. It was worth it for the 2-3 hours I spent at OpSail - a great collection of ships for this year's event.

Tommorrow the Amistad returns to its home port at Long Wharf, so assuming it's not raining I'll be there for a good part of tommorrow - probably waiting on a shuttle. You'd think they couyld use all the damned school buses for this stuff...
