Hello everyone,
Thanks for the advice. I agree that purchasing off the shelf software is the most practical alternative. My client is also a friend, so I was going to attempt to save him a few bucks. However, it seems pointless to spend a lot of time building something which already exists. If I can find something relatively cheap and customizable, I may be able to help him out.
One of the issues that my client/friend is concerned about is the user friendliness of the available POS systems. His employees are computer phobic, so the more simple the interface the better. I'm going to look around and see if I can find a package built in FoxPro or Access, which allows customization.
Again, thanks for the advice...:)
Dave
