I spent the whole evening finding everything I could here at UT. It makes much more sense to me now.

One thing I would like to do is get a report started for a user. For instance, my clients are architects and engineers. In their marketing departments, they mostly concern themselves with finding previous projects from my vfp database, searching by all sorts of criteria which I provide the frontend to do. I then would like to take that data and build a basic crystal report on the fly, based on their field selections, then throw them into crystal to further modify the layout. Probably asking too much from the user, and I suppose I would be launching Crystal 8, the package, for them, which they would have to be skilled enough to get around in. Currently, they have minimal skills with the VFP report writer.

Very interested in that Create your own report writer thing.
