I think what Rick is saying is that all COM is Unicode, therefore the resulting XML string will be Unicode as well. IIRC, VFP handles all of this for you behind the scenes. But it's early on a Saturday morning, so it's all a bit foggy right now. :-) (Probably not the best time to be working on COM+ stuff, I suppose.)
