I guess you could change the registry setting before doing a lengthy process, then change it back when you're done. Once the processing has started, though, you won't be able to change it since VFP is single-threaded.

Why would you want to do that anyway? It's Windows standard UI feedback that indicates the user can't do anything. Changing the pointer would only confuse the user. Bad idea, IMO.
