That's true, but that's by design <g>.

When you enter a key and use the keypress event to do something with
this key the first thing that happenes is the normal action, this
key would do. Then your code in the event will take over.

So, if you don't want duplicated keystrokes you might either not use
the dodefault()at all, or put at the first place in the code snippet
a NODEFAULT statement, do your action and then place a DODEFAULT().
