It works the same when it comes to buffering functionality but locking a record is a different thing. When you lock a record in a native VFP table, it does mean you lock the record in the entire network, but with views, locking the record doesn't mean you lock it in the entire network because you are working with a recordset out of the SQL statement of the view.
