i tracked down the problem and i believe it has to do with the progress bar. the oject class ie .ocx file that was
missing was mscomctl.ocx. it was in my windows\system directory, im not sure what piece of software it
installed from. if you cant locate it i will be happy to send it to you. i did not run into the problem until after
i distributed my software to our endusers. i just emailed them the file and told them to put
in the windows\system directory. a better way to do it would be to include it when you create
your distribution software thru the setup wizard. let me know
