I'm using it (as of 1/1/2000) throughout one of my clients' systems. It starts at the EDI inbound level for orders and finishes up with EDI outbound of the invoice to that clients' customer. Once inside the 'boundaries' of this clients' company all data is transmitted (either internally between COM/DCOM components or externally thru their Internet gateway) by XML. Of course, the data is stored either in Foxpro's own DBFs or SQL server databases. There are a few areas where data is stored in XML in those databases but that's not very much and is just for convenience and some speed. I've not converted everything to XML for all of my clients but that one client has been my testbed for it. It seems to have been a success but there's some more testing to go.

>Hi. I guess you can say I'm taking a survey. I would like to hear from those of you who are actively using XML, especially where VFP is involved. What are you doing with it? Why is it better for your situation than any alternatives, especially ADO?

>I know that's a very broad question. You can start with general answers, if you like, and maybe we'll get more specific later. Thanks.
