Better of considering a framework if you are not comfortable with the one packaged in VFP 6.0. box. Framework, although an additional learning curve on your team, is one way of shortening the development time of writing modern and scalable applications.
Speaking of scalability, you have to consider future upgrade to high-end databases i.e. SQL Server, Oracle, etc., so the approach in coding should also be planned well.
