Are you telling me that you can turn the scale off and the computer does'nt restart,but disconnecting it does???
I assume that you send some kind off request to the scale to get the weight?
If the scale is turned off, you send the request.
And regarding if you are using oncomm event trapping or reading from the inbuffer, there is nothing to read!!!
The way I handel this in my comm software, I send a request, and if for some reason i dont get a reply for x seconds
i give a message that the terminal is disconnected.
If somebody is mixing the connectors on the DB9 supply them with a drawing!!
