What version of SDT are you running? One of the versions prior to 5.1g always returned TRUE for NeedUpdate. This is fixed in 5.1g. Bottom line is at least 1 of the tables is not synchronizing with the meta data unless of course you are running the version with the NeedUpdate bug.
