>Is there anything like a Foxpro wait window (with nowait) in VB? I'm trying to display some type of changing status message so that the user will know this long process has not aborted. The previous programmer had a progress bar that he used all over the place... my thought is if he didn't use it here or if it's not updating quickly enough (unsure which it's doing) then there is probably a reason why. A "wait window msg nowait" type command would be perfect.

A status bar control comes to mind. Although that is something you leave on the form, instead of having it go away like the wait window.
