I'm using WWWC for this project. What I was curious about was creating an XML object to maintain state.

I have a web app that is for setting up a pager from an outside location. So there are several screens for picking the various options. The potential problem lies in that choices are validated in 2 places, first when that option is selected and finally when all the options are submitted to initialize the pager.

The potential problem would be if someone was to complete the pager setup, then for whatever reason hit the back button to one of the option choice pages. Any option choices that were displayed would have already been verified, so the user wouldn't see an error till they hit the final page and submitted the options for activation. They would then receive a message that the phone number is already active.

From reading the prior message about an XML object to maintain state, a lightbulb went on that I could have an object stored on the server that could be checked at each page submission to verify that all the necessary pages had been visited.
