I don't know about step 2 for e-mailing documents. You could fax the documents from within VFP by using FaxPlus by Elltech Development or you might be able to use CommTools for communication within VFP. I have used FaxPlus for faxing, but I don't think it works for e-mail. And I have CommTools, but haven't used it yet. It might do what you want, but I don't remember its features and uses. I think there are some CommTool advocates on the UT and some articles on CommTools on the UT. You might ask them.
