I wonder if internally VFP changes the IN () to INLIST() and runs into the limit there. Maybe some MS VFP person could answer. Guess I'll save that one for DevCon!
My Oracle Rdb database seems to take any ANSI SQL-92 construct where IN (a long list of values) is allowed. I think I ran into a limit on one of my SPT queries but it may have been a list of 200 elements and I think I just divided it up.
Will I meet you at DevCon? Did I tell you I grew up in Wakefield, MA and my father grew up in the Polish neighborhood in Lynn? My mother's family was in Gloucester.
