First, make sure everyone is either using a different login name on the server, or use the SSUSER environment variable. At first I had a lot of problems because I was using the same login as another developer.

Next, what happens when another developer tries to 'Update Project List'? Do you get an error message?

Also, make sure you have enable multiple checkouts in VSS Admin on all stations.

Right now, I am using VSS6 for a VFP6 project and everything works fine.
