We are partial to the Stonefield Database Toolkit. Doug provides a very robust set of methods for working with table and databases both in development and more importantly in the field. In this case if you had the DBCX/Stonefield metadata extensions installed a call to oMetaMgr.SDT.needsupdate() and update(all) would upgrade the tables in the field without a developemen environment or conversion process. Check out their site/cost is minimal given the functionality.
