1). FoxPro will not be dead in 2 years.

2). I also have migrated 2.6 code to VFP with success.

3). John Ryan's migratory path is sound advice, but do inform your client of the coming price/per/processor method for SQL Server. That cost alone may choke this decision for a 9-user system.

4). The 3-tier architecture seems to be where everyone is heading, and FoxPro with Web Connection is a very powerful tool in that architecture.
