>We went to OPSAIL 2000 CT at New London on Thursday. We only went to two piers: Fort Trumbull and the State Pier (2 couples and 3 kids, so the logistics wouldn't allow anything more <s>). The ships were great! We also got to hear America (one of my favorite groups from the 70s) at the Fort Trumbull stage.

Aside from sitting in the parking lot for over 3 hours waiting on a shuttle, it was great! I also made it out to the Amistad's arrival at Long Wharf Sunday. Probably the extent of my seeing real live sunlight at the beach this year, even though I live less than a mile from the Sound...

While you were in the area, did you make it out to Mystic?
