FoxFire design question

Hi all,

I am running the latest versions of vfp6, Mere Mortals and Foxfire and am pleased with all. I have a question regarding relationships and setting them up in Foxfire.

I have a number of instances where a foreign key is used to identify a description of some type in a table. For example in a Company table the category (type of business) of the company is a key that is related back to a master code table. There are 3 or 4 such descriptions of other types of information in many of the tables. The master code table carries all the descriptive data with its key (integer) being the foreign key in the appropriate field of the company (or other) table. These descriptive records in the master code table are identified by a type name such as bustype, title, addresstype, phonetype, etc.

In the Foxfire dictionary I would like to have individual fields that are descriptive fields (like the business type) reflect the word description instead of the foreign key, and have the 'Ask At Runtime' provide the list of only those descriptions that relate to that particular field. Is this possible??

I have been able to set the relationship in the appropriate place but I have to reference the master code table, not the company table field, to get the list of options that relate to the field in question. I have missed something somewhere.

TIA

Bill
