Wes,

One thing that might help folks help you here would be things like:

1. Number of records
2. Nuber of relationships
3. Size of your data
4. "Other" considerations like where your users are (local, Internet, etc)
5. Reporting requirements
6. Any other data-centric stuff you can think of

Naturally you're in a hotbed of FoxPro maniacs <g> but as long as you don't say something dumb like "FoxPro is dead" you'll be ok. <g>

Glad to have you and keep asking those questions. Lots of good folks here who like to help out.

Best,

DD

>I have been developing databases for end users with Microsoft Access for about 4 years. I have a large project coming up and it has been brought to my attention that Visual FoxPro 6.0 is a superior database development software program. I have read all the information about Visual FoxPro on Microsoft's web page and I just haven't been able to see what makes Visual FoxPro so much better. I am very familiar with Access and I have a little experience with Visual Basic. I have never even seen Visual FoxPro and it looks like there is a large learning curve. I have been trying to make my choice for the last two weeks and I just can't. I hope you can enlighten me and let me know what makes Visual FoxPro so much better.
