If there is an inherent ambiguity in the way your data is structured, then you might be out of luck. OTOH, if you know where the person's name begins/ends, then it should be no problem to isolate that segment of characters and handle them in whatever special fashion you need.

>The REDUCE() works well. It creates one blank space like it should. The only problem now is that one of the fields is a person's name and is allowed to have spaces. I don't know enough about low-level file functions to know if this is an easy fix.
