I can't remember specific, but I recall someone mentioning that he switched from vb to vfp and he was loving it.

Also, forgot to mention that if you can't attend TakeNote's classes you should probably buy their self-study materials. They will get you up to speed creating basic things in no time.

I personally went from Clipper to Access and now to VFP (although still maintaining the other two). The first jump was traumatic... in clipper I would just issue a "use mytable" and voila, I had a table open. I couldn't believe that I needed to remember 2 or 3 very long openrecordset commands in order to do the same.

And finally, I don't know what kind of search capabilities you get with the basic membership here, but look into the features that come with the Premier membership and don't think twice about upgrading.

>Well to further qualify myself I should let everyone know that most of what I do in Access is in Visual Basic. I have created several even proceduces and modules. I just hope that the learning curve between Visual Basic and Visual FoxPro isn't to large. The general response that I have received from everyone is that Visual FoxPro is far more relighable. That is good information to have and I Just wanted to thank everyone for their input.
