I figured it out!

THIS.setall("DynamicBackColor","IIF(RECNO()=mRecNo,RGB(255,255,255),IIF(DBF.FIELD=.T.,RGB(185,136,152),RGB(219,219,219)))","Column")

instead of using thisform.grdGrid.colCol.txtText.value=.T....
