moving an initial post makes sense IF the sysop knows the answer, I just posted under troubleshooting, having a problem with DCOM, but the real problem was the DCOMCNFG settings, which were user & permission related. Which is network !

Not a simple topic. Yeaaars ago on Compuserve, I'd post the same message to different areas, because who knos if a problem is version related, OS related, command related!

ALL in all, probably a waste of sysop time
