Contrôles ActiveX en VFP
Justy,
to enter RTF data with VFP is not hard. you can use the Visual Basic RTF control box. There is a nice example on how to use it in the Solutions.app.
Getting it to print however is a minor headache. Most applications can deal with strings. RTF, however, is somewhat of a problem. For my applications I started of using MS-Word but it soon became clear that it was to slow, unstable, and unable to deal with RTF.
The application that saved the day was the Virtual Print Engine from IdealSoftware(.com). This print engine can deal with streaming RTF and that is what you will need. I have moved my applications to use this engine and I have a lot of very happy customers. Report that took 2 minutes in MS-Word are now generated in 10 seconds. It is not only faster but also stable because you are using a control. The applications I make can print reports in 25 languages, including all European languages, Greek (RTF), Polish (RTF), Czech (RTF), Slovenian (RTF), Simple Chinese (Twinbridge), Complex Chinese (TB), Japanese (TB), Korean (TB). Now that we have all the text input and printing under control the list of languages is growing week by week.
Regards,
Ron
