I have to extract data from a Microfocus COBOL data file, using the low level FREAD, FGETS etc..
Now I have 2 problems to solve:
1) I can access to the data, but the fields defined as PIC 9() COMP or COMP-1,-3, etc. I don't know how to translate the correct numeric value and sign.
2) The most difficult situation is that I don't know the record structure. As known, this information is in the FD that is compiled into the program that treats the data file so it is not visible.
Could someone help me ?
