I've done a considerable amount of Word 97 automation from vfp6, but so far, it's been fairly straightforward stuff like creating word documents by spitting fields to bookmarks in a word template, copying text from one template to another, printing, etc... In other words, I've gotten good at having my vfp code tell word what to do.

What I'd like to know is if there is a way to capture the events that happend in word back to vfp. For example, I know how to create a custom toolbar in word from vfp on the fly, then add a combo box to it, populate the combo box, make it visible in word, etc... but how can I capture events from that combo box BACK to vfp so that I can respond to them from vfp and the send results back to Word.

I'd like to be able to choose an item in the combo box I create, have that event handled in vfp, my vfp code seeks a record based on this and then (this is the easy part) add text from fields in that record back to the word document.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

TIA

Jim
