PROGWORK is used to store compiled code (it's like caching the code), EDITWORK is used for Editboxes & Memo fields and such. If you don't specify SORTWORK, PROGWORK, or EDITWORK in the CONFIG.FPW file, then the files will be stored in TMPFILES instead. If you don't specify that, then they'll be put in the directory that you started FoxPro from. /Paul
