Nope, at least not with 6.0 SP4. I ran the following test

lncount = 0
SELECT Test && Has 3 records
SCAN
  lncount = lncount + 1
  * This table had one record
  SELECT Test2
  GO BOTTOM
  SKIP
  * The following replaced the above in a second test
  SELECT Test3 && Zero records - EOF() = .T.
ENDSCAN
? lncount && 3 in both cases
