30 days is plenty if you concentrate on something.

Took me 5 hours to realize that the vfp framework sucks.
Then one day to get overwhelmed by Codebook's concepts.
Then 2 weeks to conclude that Promatrix doesn't really fit with my programming style.
Then 2 weeks to really like Mere Mortals (and I'm still learning it).
