Well, I am not an old Unix user...have learned most in the last few years, and most of that just from second-hand
Usenet postings. I personally avoid cryptic command line tools like awk as if they were the plague. *smile*

Well, Joe, if you want to learn a secret about the appeal of Linux/Unix: access to a command line with pipes
and great utilities such as awk!
I can write a relatively simple one liner to do the whole thing. That's what awk, sed, cut, grep are all about!
You don't know what you've been missing all these years! :-)
