Forms & Form designer
Dear Al
I'll try it out. Meanwhile I tried out to bind a cursor directly to the grid. It worked great. It is better in the sense that I can handle everything from the baseform's methods. I assigned 3 properties, lGrid (logical flag to indicate that the form has a grid), cGridSource (the name of the alias of the source for the grid's data) and cGridDisplayCursor (the name of the cursor boudn to the grid.) With this arrangement, I wrote generic procedures in the base form that automatically updated the cursor tied to the grid whenever the table holding the source data was recreated. This fitted straight into my framework.
Thanks again.
Steven
