You have something here. I went into the registry via regedit and checked and there appeared to be duplicate entries of the CLSID {008B6021-1F3D-11D1-B0C8-00A0C9055D74}. I managed to figure this out ... or at least "fix" the problem and I will write this up under separate cover.

This is the sort of weirdness whose resolution for lack of an explanation like --i.e., such-and-such happened/happens because A, B, and C, etc. -- that needs to be documented at least. I don't know how I managed to get myself into this situation, but it took me down for a couple of days.
