It's always right to ask if the computer is plugged in! ;-)

What I'm actually doing is scanning a little table of 12 records which represent the names of the 12 columns I want in my grid. Not much is happening in the "main" table at that point other that the fact that I'm putting it's name in as the recordsource.

That does give me an idea to try though - swap the names of the 2 tables and see what happens!
